Hey guys, I am new to the forum.

I had a question about the sound deadening right at where the fire wall meets the floor board. I know there is glue there that holds the chassis together a little bit but there's obviously more holding it together then just that. Is it okay to remove the sound deadening right there and just try not to bother the glue as best I can or just not try to remove it?

This is how ive been leaving the glue along there. Is that enough glue for it to do its job or should I not bother the glue?

I feel like a noob for asking this question

i really dont think that that little bit would make much of a difference. if you really wanted, im sure you could remove whats there, and lay down a fresh bead of some kind of epoxy to replace the glue. yet again, im not really sure cause i still have the sound deadening in. hopefully someone with experience in this can chime in.

What glue are you talking about that holds the chassis together?

Are you talking about the seam sealer? Not holding anything at all.

I believe it is the seam sealer because it is in other parts where seams are as well. Thanks for helping out with it because i was really confused on what it was.

keeps the moisture out as the car is a series of spot welds and pinches.
