Heylo there everyone.

I had my audio system installed in December and I'm getting around to deadening out the car.

I decided to go with Dynamat's Xtreme series, 10455 Bulk kit. I ordered two of them, or approximately 72sq.ft. of material.

Questions:

Has anyone used Dynamat Xtreme? Did you like it?

Concerns:

Is 72sq.ft. enough? Should I double it up or see how far it gets and then double what still buzzes and rattles?

Also, if anyone has any ideas for a smooth installation I'd love them.

I chose the Dynamat Xtreme stuff because it has really good ratings, and for the quantity of material in the bulk kit, it's pretty cheap to buy. Is there something better? Should I put something over/under the material for more sound deadening?

Thanks in advance guys.

I just finished doing this to my car last week.

I ordered 100 square feet and then ended up ordering another 100 square feet. I did my whole car though. The trunk, door, and entire floor. I used B-Quiet and it worked pretty well. I hear 'Dynamat Xtreme' is one of the best, make sure and check out the "Sound Deadening Showdown" in the link above. To stop some rattles I put some on the inside of the plastic door panel pieces. You will like the added weight in the door, it makes for a nice quiet shut.

dynamat extreme is some of the most overpriced stff out there.. there's better stuff out there for less.... BQuiet Ultimate, for example, is comparable to dynamat extreme, for MUCH, MUCH less

I like the RAAM mat.

I ordered enough for (what I thought) one car.

I've done 3 so far, and still have most of a roll left over.... I think I bought too much, lol!
