I have been thinking about installing some sound deadening material in my A/C, but wanted to get some input from those that have already done it. There are so many brands and different prices out there. They also have Asphalt based or Butyl based material.

Type (Brand) of material used ?How many Sq. Ft ?Price paid and from where ?Any Con's (Does car ecspecially doors feel heavy) ?

I like this thread. My other thread is just a write up, this could be the official one.

The doors feel great! Maybe a tiny bit heavier but honestly, when you close the car door it's got a different, much more expensive sound to it. Like a deep "pop".

As for brand, Robert and I both have tons of b-quiet installed. I forget how much he has but I've got somewhere around 150 sq ft. In some places theres another 50sq ft of hushmat i got from my local audio shop for reviews, since I recommend products and advertise for them in exchange for some great deals.

And finally price is really good when you consider the level of improvement. Check out the b-quiet website for prices, but ebay is great too.
