does anyone think sound deadening material like dynamat extreme is necessary on the doors of an 09 altima 2.5s?? Planning on upgrading to an aftermarket head unit with aftermarket speakers, a mono amp for a 12" sub and a deep cycle battery as my starter battery. I've already been putting dynamat extreme under the rear deck and in the trunk area, but was wondering if anyone thinks it's not necessary to put it on the doors since it sounds quiet to begin with. Yes it couldn't hurt, but if I can save more money and not have to buy the bulk pak dynamat extreme kit, that would be cool too.

I would go with not particularly necessary. The reason I say this is I have the same exact setup you just described in my 240 with no dynamat and its fine. You already have it in the trunk where the majority of initial vibrations would be, so I say skip it in the doors. Like you say it wouldn't hurt, but if you wanna save the money I would say you are fine without it.

do you have your door speakers powered by a 2 or 4 channel amp?? do you get any door vibrations from road noise or the speakers rattling??

The more sound deadening the better, IMO. Then again, the doors are probably the least of my concerns when doing my car. I've personally found that the floor makes a huge difference when cutting down road noise.

true, but it's very time consuming to take off the seats and carpet in order to apply more dynamat. I think it would be easier and faster to remove the doors or the lining in the trunk

The doors are tricky because of how the window motor is mounted. If you try to apply to the outer sheet metal, pay very close attention to the window motor or you will regret it.

And yes, pulling the seats to get to the floor is rather annoying, but doable:

yeah for the doors, I'd probably apply it to the inner sheet metal and pay close attention too to where the screws go in as well as the wiring.

Did you remove the water liner when you applied dynamat to your doors or did you leave it on??

If you decide to go for it, this thread will be helpful. Not my build.
