Hi all,
I got the rear shocks and springs replaced just last year due to sagging suspensions. Few weeks after the change started noticing a "Whoosh" type of sound from the rear suspension system while going over speed bumps and buckled road joints at low speeds.
Its not the clunk or the hissing sound from the shocks. I took it to the dealer who replaced the suspension system and he diagnosed that the rear stabilizer bar bushings are worn so I replaced them and applied silicon lubricant when installing. Well, the sound is still there.
I am thinking it could be faulty spring install as sound comes from both sides in the rear (tested by driving one wheel over small bump and other on flat surface). The wheel over the bump makes sound and other does not and vice versa.
Car handles well and no issue with the general performance of the suspension system other than the sound.
I have searched the forums and no posts on this issue. Can I get some help on figuring out what the problem is.
Should I just unisntall and reinstall the springs. Have the rubber seats on the spring ends gone bad?
