We all seem to agree that these video clips being taken don't do these exhaust systems any justice. The point of this is to try to compare "apples with apples".

Now i don't have some "pro camera", but i figured if we could get a before and after using the same camera, it would give a good direct comparison as to the change in sound.

Stock exhaust - revvinghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPszZPbXKCg

Stock exhaust - accelerationhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcjwV5FGJS0

Stillen exhaust - revvinghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHWJZGhC7r8

Stillen exhaust - accelerationhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-dHMx_MXYs

I'm sure you'll all see what i'm refering to in my other thread, that the stock exhaust is bolder, and louder then the stillen exhaust. I prefer the sound of the stillen exhaust over the stock exhaust personally. You be the judge.

Again, not pro quality camera, not a movie producer. Just some guy throwing the camera on a piece of wood after getting out of work and mashing the throttle!

Yeah i thought it was real interesting how the stillen changes the exhaust. Its not like its just a tone change, it completely smooths out the exhaust flow and provides a unique sound. I thought it was very interesting that the stillen exhaust is louder inside the car, and the stock exhaust is louder outside the car!

I personally love the sound of the Stillen over the stock exhaust. You can definitely hear and feel the difference that's for sure!

I agree. It has a nice deep tone and sounds sexy a WOT. (yet you don't have to worry that someone hears you coming from 4 blocks away!)

Guys..... Was this the axel back Stillen or the Catback? I hear the stock resonator is what keeps this thing from opening up.

great vids and good comparison. i've heard a nismo 3.5 altima revving next to a stock 3.5 altima on the track and the sound from the nismo was by far louder than the stock exhaust. maybe this will change after putting more miles on your stillen because from what i've seen it is very similar to the nismo. the sound produced is more steady and not so garggly (not a word but...) like the stock. i'm sure the in cabin noise is greater because the pitch is so much lower.

Its cat back. Not sure about the 2.5, but the 3.5 does not have a stock resonator. The stillen cat back adds a resonator. I think thats one of the key parts that keeps it quiet, smooths out the sound, and brings out that deeper tone.
