Been a while since I've posted here -- got the strut bar from Soul Function. First impression is that it DOES help with the stability of the car in the canyons AND improved steering response and "feel" almost ALL the time. Good product!

I still have a bit of trimming to do on the engine covers and the car is a bit dirty (just got back from San Jose this weekend -- Over 700 miles round trip AND an average of 26.2MPG, on the 5 and NOT going 70 or 75......).

Obviously, NO clearance problems and the install is pretty simple.

Very nice, though I must say I am less impressed with the bar than your MPG!!! I know this is off topic from your title, but seriously, how on the V8?!

Uprev tune, 40PSI nitrogen tire pressure, made the under body as smooth as possible, synthetic EVERYTHING for fluids, 2nd cats delete, made the gaps on the body as small as possible, oil cooler (so I can run thinner oil), ceramic coated exhaust (to keep the heat in), and other little things...

I think Dean is being quite modest - he's done quite a number of mods - engine, exterior (for example, halo fogs) and interior (added paddle shifters, a redo of the LEDs on the center control panel, etc.) He's one of my mod heros.... :bigthumb:

Too bad you had to cut into your engine covers, but alas, they're only engine covers (I smell a future modification, coming...lol)

How do you get away with the 2nd cat's being removed in California smog test?

40 psi isn't that alot or is it because of nitrogen?

I have run 40 for many years, it gives the best gas mileage and good steering response. It is only 3 psi above the recommended amount.
