Hello All......

I'm a newbie and this happens to be my first posting. I'm glad to be in this group.

I have a 91 S13 KA24DE that needs help. I'm glad of joining because I never thought that I can make wonders to my KA. It has a good compression and my plan is just boost it. I am NOT planning to make it a monster car. My target is only 220-250rwhp which is fun to drive as an everyday car.

Anybody who has spare/used turbo kits that is within my budget, I'll be glad to buy it. My budget is $800. (i know this is too tight). My bro pushes me to swap to SR20DET but I am not financialy capable to do that.

Here's the list that I need.

T25/T28 turboBottom Mount ManifoldDownpipeFMICBOVTurbo timerBoost ControllerOil Line370cc Injector255 lph Walbro fuel pump

I want to keep my stock ECU. I already have SAFC from my bro.

I know KA has a potential and I want to explore it. I welcome all concerns/comments.

Thanks.

I think thats going to cost way more than $800... the cheapest I have seen is around $700 (http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10253) without any management. I would say you could do that setup for around $1k..

Do all the work, and fabrication, and it'll be a lot cheaper.. you'll just have too look around for good deals on used parts.

That's what I feel actually. $800 is a tight budget. I'm doing the install anyway. I'm really close on buying the Chinese Garrett setup on Ebay for $799 but based on what I read on the forum, there's no guarantee that it will last. Do it right or do it twice.

Do you think Ebay kit is good but replace the turbo with a Garrett?

I appreciate all concerns.

Thanks.

Get parts from eGay, that have no moving parts (intercooler, piping, etc.). I would not trust any non-branded stuff. Imagine your wastegate gets stuck... BOOM!!!! I saw a thread where a guy bought the parts from eBay, he was running a T25 bottom mount setup for around 800 bucks.

I just boosted my friend for $1400. And we had a coupel thigns go wrong which would of costed more but I gae him some spare parts. You probably need to by an internally gated new turbo so no worries there and no need for ext wastegate. You need to have 2k set aside before getting into your project. Get a mani, fmic, and sr 370cc injectors.once you got your mani get a new turbo and then go from there for dp and piping oil linesetc

Is that right?

Ebay's kit are so tempting. With $799 complete kit, no wonder a newbie like me is very easy to be tempted. I'm convinced to go for used but reliable ones.

Those of you guys who upgraded their turbos and kits and planning to sell your good old ones, just drop me a note. This is my first turbo project and really excited to put it on my KA.

Thanks.

Looks good to me. I emailed him to send me pics and I'll make an offer from there.

I saw you checked on that too. Not right for me to grab that opportunity from you. Let me know if you're not getting it.

Than

I'm looking to boost my vert. But right now I'm in the process of putting my other KA-T together. I already came across one kit like his which I bought and then allowed my friend to buy from me for same price. I'd rather have someone to be boosting with than have another vehicle in the driveway boosted not being driven. Besides it'll allow us to humilate more hondas this way

I'd say go with a T3 .50 trim, .48 - .63 A/R for your goal.
