It's been nice talking ot you guys on here. Thanks for all of your info on the Versas & the problems with actual MPG, delivery dates, etc.The wife & I ordered a Blue Suzuki SX4 Sport the otehr day. The car is scheduled to arrive on the 20th. The Suzuki didn't have an option of a power sunroof & that bummed me out so I'm having the dealership get a super pimp power moon roof put in for $1000 when it arrives. I really liked the Versa first but after I tried out the Suzuki, wieghed the differences, & could actually GET ONE I decided to jump ship.
Ok so after looking at both, test driving both, here is what I have come up with for a comparision of sorts.
What I like better about the Versa SL model with convenience, audio, & sunroof packages:
SIX SPEED MANUAL!!Longer wheelbaseOverall longerMore rear seat leg roomBetter MPGBigger gas tankRear fold down center arm rest A good rear double cup holderA HUGE glove box with a light in itSunroof optionBluetooth optionFront arm restCVT option (not that it matters much since the wife wants a manual trans.)Dealership closer to me than Suzuki & bogger dealership with known reputationThe little triangle windows up front I don't really like the shape of the ones in the SX4,..they seem to make a blind spot.More comforatble seatsAdjustable up, down, tilt driver's seat.
What I like better about the SX4 Sport model:
AWD!!!Heated mirrorsFog lightsTraction controlRear wheel disk brakesABS,...actually not totally sold on ABS yet but,..I guess it's a good thingEBD The headlights. I like the shape of the SX4 ones betterClimate control. "Set it & forget it"16" rimsRoof racks standardThe rear corner windows. The versa just exetends the side door windows way back. I like the looks of the small corner windows & they are usable,..well at least the passenger side when you are driving. The shape of the Versa rear hatch cuts into the opening size of the rear hatch.I didn't like the shape of the rear tailights ont he Versa. Mostly the way they wrap around the sides then come to a point.
I may stop in from time to time to say hi.
