A friend of mine bought one of those recently. Sold it for a small profit. Timeless car.

I think Q45tech had a link to a neat swap job with the later 4 valve DOHC 5L that made it into a real hauler. Bruno Sacco had the tank design down.

Had a nice little run with a E500 today. Pretty good up to 60 then it was all Q all the way.

Saturday i had a run from 30mph - 85 mph w/ a canary yellow (cherry) 67 chevelle. hes bumper was only 1.5 foot ahead of mine until 70 when i evened it out. He was shocked He Said " That was awsome" We praised each others cars. In the Q bty.the Benz rips hard I think it is faster then my Q on the Hwy.I just ordered a 1st gear start mod for it.

Nice. They're beautiful cars--ages ahead of their time styling-wise.

Yea, i love my Q in every aspect. But i plan on picking up a extremly cheap, gutted out CRX.. No AC, no interior, just a freaking shell + engine. just something that can get me 40+ mpg for work.

No AC in Houston...coming up on summertime? That's sure a willingness to suffer for MPG!

Congrats on the C126. Be sure to find out what spring pads will work best with your new suspension upgrade. I usually use Bilstein HD with Eibach or H&R on my cars.

Be sure to check out these pages to start:http://home.concepts.nl/~vlimmere/index2.HTM (info)http://www.mbcoupes.com/ (info)http://www.mercedesshop.com (forum)http://www.mobile.de/ (check out cars for sale on this site and you can see stagered tire sizes)

Let me know if I can help.
