ive had my car, in my possesion for 8 days now with the RB25 running like a champ. i HATE all the attention i get now. its driving me crazy. everytime i park where everybody is hanging out, i have to pop my hood like 50 effing times. its not quite as spectacular as everyone makes it out to be. just the fact that most people dont even know what my car is, is annoying enough. then the kiddies that know what it is have to make an enormous deal out of the swap. seriously, its not that amazing. go drool over the supras or something..

anyone else get that **** from people?

You are a dummy for showing telling people what you are running, and popping your hood constantly. If you aren't careful, you are going to be making "240sx stolen!!!111" threads. Just admit it, you like the attention. Be careful though man, hope you have a top notch security system, and you don't let it out of your site for long. Your 240 is particularly boner inspiring.

umm, dont pop your hood. When I used to park around ppl I'd walk away from my car. It does get annoying. I generally would only pop my hood for people who actually know what they are talking about.. Ricers. nty.

Yea I admit I like getting attention but way to much can be dangerous. Next think you know you don't have a car.

Lucky7, you have a S14 man. If you ask me alot of non 240 owners like the looks of the S14 over the S13. I myself sometimes wet my pants whenever I see a s14 down here thats pretty clean (like urs). Why do you pop the hood? Just say you got a SR20 like I do. Enuff said. Everyone has a SR so nothing special. Plus any SR owner will shortly deny comment when they hear your car.

But yea I agree with you. Let them go drool over some supras or something.

Your car is bright red and looks expensive bro. Couple that with the sweet 6-cylinder music coming out of your exhaust, and it's gonna draw attention, especially from the ricer/dorifto crowd (comes with the 240 territory). After I get mine running right, first thing Im gonna do is rig up a bunch of anti-theft stuff. Kill switch, alarm system, whatever else I can think of.

It's a bad idea to advertise your **** man. I never pop my hood, ever. Even if I am at a drag race I pop it and just prop int up a little but not so much you can see anything. Anybody gets nosy they are quickly corrected.

lucky7 - I've had mine running for about 6 days now and I can't get anyone to look twice at it...It doesn't surprise me much because nobody even knows what a skyline is around here, not even the autoparts guys.

I thought this thread was going to be about how bored you are with the power already. I know I am. A tune will do wonders, but I still want something that feels like you're driving a roller coaster when you go down the first drop.

No more hood popping unless you're with your gf.

haha, i guess its plenty my fault. i built it up with pictures and crap. it was cool at first, but now its really annoying. atleast i dont get too many people asking for rides....

anyhow, i really am bored with the power already. i made 305 and 315 torque on a dynapack. it runs good, but i really need to play with my suspension settings and get an alignment. the rear steps out in 2nd, just pussyfooting around a turn. not ready for any sort of track time until i get my traction issues figured out.

A real engine has higher torque than horsepower numbers. I don't see how I would ever be able to get bored with 315 ft-lbs

I had a simaler problem here. I have simaler concerns, and rarely share what has been done to my car with anyone. I am deathly afraid of theft!

My freinds know whats under the hood. There is a legend going around town that sombodies got a skyline motor in thier 240sx. I usually laugh. I have since moved and almost noone knows what I have.

People may think your a jerk but thats not your problem. Just tell them its a KA with an intake/exhaust.

Avoid places with people hanging in a parking lot. I just don't stop at that particular place. That place used to be Wendys around here.

I dont have problems like that, I live deep in mustang/camaro territory. When I went to the drag strip they didnt even inspect my car becuse it was an import and they think im running 15's. Then when I went to stage for the 12.99 and faster group they wouldnt let me in till I showed them my time slip.

This has happened to me twice, but if I'm nice enough to pop my hood for you.....DON'T TOUCH THE LATCH AND OPEN IT UP BEFORE I GET TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR! I swear I almost lost it on this kid for doing that. It's not your car, it's mine. I touch it, not you. You aren't doing anything curteous for me.

Everyone outside of my circle of friends thought I had a frankenstein SR running a KA crank, haha. We only got that to last about 6 months though. Oh, and I still dont pop my hood unless I know everyone thats standing around.

As far as theft, its never left alone unless Im at home and then my 2 150+ pound dogs say nay to car thieves.

Ugh, I know what you mean entirely, and mine is still running like crap, well to me at least. I really haven't felt any decent power yet, yet every ricer within a 500 mile radius wants to ooh and ahh over it. Buzz off, that guy over there has an STi y'all drive them, go look at his car, and no I will not drriffiiifffttttizzlllle it for you. I guess I can relate...

You're in MI... and you have wheels... and you drive an import.

I hear the pack over at TF reads low... sounds good for you

There are a lot of people I wouldn't trust around here... if you don't make a big deal about it... they won't either, so since you have... brush it off from now on and you'll be fine
