So i recently got my car back from Import Intelligence (wiring issues as well as some other issues) it was running but running rough. I had to order new coolant hoses (Thank you RawBrokerage) due to a coolant leak. Well I fixed the leak (hoses come tomorrow so a temp fix) and bleed the system properly. But the car was idling at like 4k RPM so I replaced the TPS sensor and that brought it down about 800 RPM or so.

I am curious to what else i can do due to my idle being around 1200 RPM or so. I want to make sure this thing is running properly before I go Nistune and add the upgraded rail.

I plan on driving it 1000 miles then doing an oil change and checking the oil. Right now it has mobile one 10w 30. I plan on switching to Amsoil 10w30. I am also running a Z-max engine treatment as well. And I plan on running a fuel injector cleaner.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Or you could just switch the solenoid from the B13 onto the Rb20's and clean out the RB20 one while your at it.

Give idle adjustment screw on the throttle body a turn or two.

also, don't know that it would matter much, but have you checked out the fuel pressure?

If you didn't upgrade FPRs or at least put a gauge in the fuel line to tell you where it's at that could cause some issues.

Well I started it up again and decided to try and adjust the TPS. While adjusting it I notices I was still leaking coolant a bit so I am waiting until FedEx gets here with my hoses and replace everything.

Haha, ok, when i said turn the throttle adjustment screw it was because I read your first post as you had gotten the idle down to 800rpms, instead of down 800rpms from 4000, making it 3200.

So when you say you believe your rpm's are off, do you mean your tach wasn't ever properly calibrated when the swap was done? If so, i'd say it is pretty important that you get the rpm's to read pretty much spot on.

Anyways, another thing you can check is the tightness of the throttle cable, and wether or not you throttle plate is actually closing all the way at 0% throttle. If it is too tight then your throttle will remain partially open even if the gas peddle is completely depressed thus raising your idle. Just another thing to check for. GL

I'll check when i start it up later. And ill try the idle screw.

Alright after a quick drive the idle settled down to 1000 rpm.
