Hi guys. I have been checking this site out for some time, and now finally able to be a member here :)

I have been looking to buy my first NEW car as an Altima Coupe and pretty much just started to get the dealers in a selling frenzy :D The best deal at this point in time is one offering a base Black 2012 Altima Coupe 2.5S with convenience package, external ground lighting, and carpet floors for $22,747 out the door. Dark Slate is my primary color selection, and Im a little worried how dirty the black will get later on.

Do you guys think this is a good price, or do I have room to lower it a bit? I wasn't sure if they were taking advantage of me since I did not go to the dealership in person yet, and wanted to know any suggestions/thoughts from the awesome community here :)

Welcome! Glad you finally posted!

I'm assuming this is for CVT? Not Manual trans?

I'd say thats a pretty good price including tax etc....

Check out this chart from Truecar.com. This is for a 2.5S with convenience package and CVT transmission. Check out Truecar.com, its a cool tool to bring with you to the dealer.

Thank you for your friendly welcome. Yes, it is a CVT. I was trying for about $22k, but would that be pushing it too much? What do you think I can negotiate for?

If you got them down that far, might as well try for $22k. As you can see, you're already below invoice.

Good luck!

Wow I think that's a good price. If you can, try seeing if they have any 2011's left. I got a great deal on my 2010 when 2011s hit the lot

Im not sure if they had any 2011s. I know the style hasnt changed over the last few generations, but are they pretty much the same?
