So I have been wanting an M for a long time now....the M45 would be a sweet deal, but I just can't afford it and so I am going to the next best thing with the M35 and I plan on purchasing one around the late fall or early winter. I was wonder with those who have 06's+, what should I look for when buying such as maintenance and what not. This will be my 4th car so in by no means am I new at all of this, but this will be the newest car I have purchased and so I just want to make sure I have all the angles covered.

I could only say check the maintenance records on it, i own a 07 M35x , with a little over 10,000 KM and not a single thing has gone wrong on it. As for any major problems i haven't experienced or heard of any yet.

I wound up with an 06 M35 after drooling for a Lexus GS 300 for months. I had a 94 Q45a that needed thousands of $$ in repairs that just didn't make sense. Anyway, a local dealer recommended I test drive the M35 (w/sport & tech pkg) & I was hooked. The car is probably quieter than my old Q, rides almost as smooth & handles just as good or better. The 6 cyl. has some pretty nice zip, though I don't think it compares to the 8 in my old Q & I'm kind of disappointed with the gas mileage. I used to get 17 in my Q (I live in Land O Lakes, FL & there's a lot of highway driving) but am only getting 18-22 with my M (18 with regular gas, even less if I drive it like I used to drive my Q!). My M had 13k miles when I got it, so it's like new & still looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. I've got 4 kids & they LOVE the car as much as I do. The trunk is roomier than I expected & between baseball & golf it's a good thing I got the M instead of the GS 300 or all the stuff would not have fit. The 19" wheels are nice but the tires are a little on the noisy side (if not for the tires you'd think you were in an electric car, it's that quiet). I love the Bluetooth & haven't had a problem with it yet & the voice recognition system is great--unless I'm tired & don't enunciate correctly. I don't know what more there is to say about it, other than the entire family loves it. Oh, maybe the best part is that my wife can't figure out how to drive it!
