I got some H4 housings from Sonic Motor and the housings seem a bit too thick for the stock headlight bracket to fit around it. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

Plus, the lights don't seem very bright when there is quite of bit of light around(I can barley see them when on a well lit road). But they look really bright with little or no lights around. Could I possibly just change to different bulbs to get a brighter output? Any help is appreciated.

Your brightness issue is definitely caused by the bulbs, all of those cheap hid style blue tint garbage bulbs always look really s***.

As far as the casings being too thick, that is how all aftermarket plastic housings are. I bought some good quality ones awhile back and they are also too thick. They do not cause any problems though you just cannot tighten the screws all the way down. Just tighten them until they are tight and you will be good.

Sonic motor guys are awesome, they have great customer service and great pricing. Good job buying with them.

Alright I thought so.. I have a spare set of better bulbs I will probably put in.

Yes I am doing that as well lol. I was just seeing if anybody else has had this problem. I just don't want them to break.

Yeah, a few people recommended them to me. So I thought I would try them out.

Damn.. The other bulbs I have are the same ones. Anybody know of a good H4 bulb that has a good light output?

I hope that's sarcasm...

My silvia projectors came with the ultras, and they were awful. The light thrown didn't show much different from regular lights, and they bust easy when winter time comes. I blew one on a cold morning in late '07 and replaced it with another ultra. It didn't take long for both of the ultras that were still in my headlights to pop. I've been running 2+ years with the same amount of usage on regular silverstars with no issues what-so-ever. The ultras, for some reason, can't take start ups very well in cold temperatures.
