My Coupe has been through a lot so early in its life... first the dented quarter panel, now a new windshield. Was driving home last night and something hit the windshield... put this quarter sized pock mark in it...

Luckily I have full glass, so it's getting replaced today at no cost to me... that is... if the place even has the correct glass for it yet.

damn, hopefully they'll do a good job, I heard it's hard to get the new glass to fit perfectly to avoid leaks and such. Even if it's free, it's still a freaking waste of time to wait at the dealer

Dang, I'll bet that caught your attention. What a bummer.

Funny how if it was a foot lower, it would have probably dented your hood and def took a nice piece of paint off of it.. and you would be screwed... instead your covered!

That must have been something pretty big that hit it.. very fast..

Just talked to the shop... they're going to do it tomorrow morning at my house before I go to work.

Yeah... I thought of that too, and I guess this is much better as long as they seal it properly.

Could be worse... I bet if it hit the plastic grill it would have gone straight through and hit the radiator and caused a leak.

Definitely got my attention when it happened. Sounded like someone lit a firecracker on my dash. Just one loud bang.

Thats a bummer. But, if it may ease the pain, I have had glass replaced on another vehicle (2002 - rock hit the wind shield two days after the vehicle was purchased) and I still have the same glass, no problems at all. My only trouble was that the company my insurance sent out to replace the glass wanted to install an after market piece; but after a bit of a hassle, they went and got an OEM glass.
