While sitting at a red light I notice the engine misses a bit and the idle drops to 500-600 rpm for a few seconds.
Then the engine smooths out and the rpm raises.
This happens 1-2 times a day nearly every day...but not always.
Whats up?
Yes - most of the problems would typically be an always rough idle. But if you go through the manual you might find something of interest in their troubleshooting parts.Helium2 wrote:I suppose it could be the A/C kicking on. I hadn't thought of that.
The rest of those possible causes don't seem to to me to relate to an occasional rough idle.
I'll pay a little more attention to see if it occurs when the A/C is on.

The problem I have with the on-line copies of the manual is they all seem to be 1 chapter pdf's that have no clear title to indicate what they cover.Yes - most of the problems would typically be an always rough idle. Download all the PDFs into one folder. Open "fwd.pdf" - it is the table of contents, clicking on links within the table of contents opens up the appropriate PDF for you.Helium2 wrote:The problem I have with the on-line copies of the manual is they all seem to be 1 chapter pdf's that have no clear title to indicate what they cover.Yes - most of the problems would typically be an always rough idle. I was half-way through labelling them myself (alphabetical order) and opened "fwd.pdf". I swore a bit when I realized that was all I ever needed to open
