Ever since my transmission replacement these Nissan dealers are always trying to get money out of your pocket, even for warranty repairs. When i took it in for the transmission noise they were saying, it's abuse, the clutch is bad, the transmission is not covered, if i pay for a clutch they'll warranty it no problem and even messed up the slave cylinder when i went to pick the car up (the clutch pedal was stuck on the floor and couldn't lift up, yet during they're so called "TEST DRIVE" it worked fine), they even tried to charge me a diagnostic fee also but i refused. Now i took it to another dealership to diagnose and repair, an underbody knocking/clunking sound. They told me, "if the part is not covered under warranty i would be required to pay a 95 dollar diagnostic fee but if it is covered, then it's warranty work". They called back saying they have to replace engine mounts which is covered by warranty AND i still have to pay the diagnostic fee. Called Nissan North America and they told me all i can do is file a complaint against the dealership and thats that. So frustrating, after having owned a Honda, two Acuras, a GM truck, a Subaru the warranty experience was never stressful. Take the vehicle in, they notify you of the problem, the expected wait time for repair and parts, sign the work order, pick up your car and go about your life. Has anyone else had horrible experiences like this? Can anyone tell me of a good, honest Nissan dealership in new york city or long island? Thank you for any advice and for your time.

that sucks. the first year I owned my car, everything was 100% free. if I heard a rattle, a squeak, ANYTHING, it was fixed in 1 day and was free. then after the first year they started saying that its like $100 to look at the car and if its covered under warranty, they'll fix it for free and I wont have to pay the $100. If its not covered under warranty and I want to have them fix it, they'll deduct the $100 from the price of the work. but I havent really had any issues with my altima coupe and my dealership has always been really good. they're rated hella high in California and are like 1 mile from my house lol but good luck, hopefully you can find a dealer that doesnt try to rip you off.

Thanks hussain... In NYC I think all the Nissan dealers are the same... They all want money... I'm not sure if it's something new that's going on amongst all the dealers because I did a google search and it seems as though it's something that alot of people are experiencing... The thing that really gets me is that they tell me no diagnostic charge if it's an item that's warrantied but when the car is done the drum beat changes and now I have to pay... It's tough finding a reliable and honest dealership these days

The dealership here in Yonkers is pretty much the same as you're describing yours. I don't recommend anyone going there for service, because it seems they're only out for the money, and not the actual repair of the vehicle. Each time I bring my car to them and they "fix" what is wrong, something else seems to stop working properly, even though it was fine prior to bringing it to them.

I have slight regrets on getting a Nissan Altima back in 1996 as Nissan Original Parts almost costs double when the authorized dealership here "orders" them abroad. Us old Altima model owners rely heavily on Nissan Parts from After Market Brands and sites such as these.

I think they will fit. Problem solved. I don't regret Nissan now. :rotfl :bs:
