ok i have a 1993 Nissan 240SX SE with a push button start. I have the push button start going directly from the batter to post on the starter silonoid. the button does not crank the car at all. i take it it was the starter or silonoid so i bought a brand new starter and silonoid and even had it tested at the parts store and it worked. when i push the button....nothing happens at all the starter doesnt kick out or nothing. ill play with it some more while i wait for answers but if ull please help me

check for 12v positive at the starter with start button depressed. use mulitimeter. not sure how you check ground but it is possible you have bad ground.

yea u mean the ground on the battery or the ground on the switch because the switch doesnt require ground.

Unplug the connector that is close to starter and make sure 12v positive is getting there when you have your start button depressed. The problem is likely something to do with 12v positive. If 12v positive is getting to start motor, than the only thing that could be wrong is that the starter is not grounded right.
