on the left knee there is button TCS press break and push it. u will see the same light in Odometer. that will help you Fly off the signal light. you will also notice difference in RPM EX: between 1k-2k 40 MPH. With TCS ON MY COUPE WIll NOT FLY ON SIGNAL WHEN ITS OFF IT FLYS. ALSO IT USES 2K AND 20 MPH WITH TCS ON ITS TOO SLOW LAUNCH. I ALSO HAVE NISMO EXHAUST MAYBE THAT COULD EFFECT IN MY CASE.

I also realize you stated it was a 2.5
Then the topic would be "Somethings wrong with my rental coupe" cause its still way to slow for a 3.5 but faster than my slightly modded 2.5 :gapteeth: :gapteeth: :gapteeth:

But it makes sense that the mods are more high-end torque mods anyways.

Mikethemike,

You do realize of course, that posters who do not report back with outcomes, especially after many others have slaved over hot keyboards in an effort to assist, will face "unspecified retaliatory measures" :-).

In other words, Wazzup?

Was the rental a 3.5 after all? Did you suddenly remember the 400# of fertilizer in the trunk? How about the tennis ball that had somehow slipped under the accelerator? And you did check for critters taking up residence in the air intake, right? Someone stop me before I get really silly :-).

Best wishes

You clearly haven't been reading any of my responses then. I took everything everyone has said into consideration, though YOU may think I haven't, I have. You may also find that I actually took my time to respond to some of them, unless you wanted me to respond to every single person, I dont have that much time to do so, but it's nothing against their advice. There are people who are far worse in being non responsive. Some OPs who dont even respond whatsoever. I literally have been busy with work/camping/attending to more important things than rushing back here to update, and I'm sure others are in the same predicament. If you would like to contribute anything useful to this topic other than keeping me in check, please do so, otherwise please don't make me out to look like a inconsiderate prick. And NO to everything else you said in the second paragraph.

As for the Idle Relearn, I did in fact try it and unfortunately as suspected didn't do anything. Thanks to everyone else for the help, sorry if I kept you waiting for an update.

I've tried to help people here before, some appreciated it and others didn't. I feel you appreciated it so I dont feel that way ;)! I wouldnt expect those things to change the car, maybe help a tad bit. It probably has to do with mods and a whole bunch of other stuff :(. But you also cant really compare two different cars n expect the same results...

Thanks, and I appreciate everyones help, which is why I give thanks to everyone who helped if not all in most of my threads. Alright, I'm stopping with the rant.

I wonder how the other car would respond if I were to slap those same mods on. Would it either feel the same way or lose low end torque? I kinda feel like testing it now haha. Yea every car is different. I'm getting all these letters from Nissan about going in for a routine check up and I'm considering doing it and just telling them about it. I wouldn't call it a "problem" but I wouldn't want them to find out something IS in fact wrong and then for some reason void the warranty because it had to do with one of my mods.

All in all, screw it, I can live with it, I do notice its a little more responsive in mid-high torque. Again I got these mods mainly for sound, so I really can't complain =)

Our cars are extremely heat sensitive. After driving for about 2 hours in desert heat (110F), the car started cutting power. In manual mode, I could not downshift below 6th. In CVT mode, the rev limiter came down to 3,000RPM. I could not get the car to go above 80mph.

After talking to a few people, I'm almost certain that our cars are trying to protect from overheating.

As far as gaining low-end torque, go with UpRev and a skilled tuner. Here is dyno chart for the UpRev tune only on my 3.5 CVT.

Have you considered wheel weight? I'm not sure what an OEM wheel for a 2012 2.5s is but I do know the your 350Z wheels are hefty at about 25-26lbs. Also are you rockin about 200lbs. to 300lbs. of stereo in your trunk?

Actually I have those wheels off for now, but I'm willing to bet the 17''s are about the same. And no sound system for me. I suppose I could remove the spare, but what good will that do? Hardly nothing lol.

I can promise you the rental car has the spare, so no good there. A lot of times folks add a lot of weight to there cars and don't realize what that could be doing to there performance, so I threw that one out there.
