Also, does anyone's CA run like poop until it gets warmed up? Mine stutters like crazy until its warm, then no prob.
Third, I also see about the chipped ECUs and I think this is where I wanna start but I want some advice from people who have gone this route. I have read about the speed limiter being removed but this would be for an S13 so what about my S14 speed sensor? Also with a chip, where would that put me as far as power increase using a SR T25/CA T25 and stock 370s?
Is there anything I can do to my turbo that is stock just to get a couple extra pounds out of it?
How will the CA respond to NOS? I have a kit that I used as a dry shot and ruined a MAF so never used it again... Luckily I had warranty because an 03 OEM part was hella expensive.
I guess that's all I can think of for now...Sorry to just rant out some questions but i'm anxious to learn and couldnt find these answers anywhere else..
Could you fit any more questions into one post ??? :-)
Same center housing (CHRA), same lines. The oil drain might need the bolt holes elongated, if it's a later model roller bearing CHRA.
Bad cold idle is performance is probably spark plugs and misaligned Throttle position sensor. Could also be blocked cold idle air bypass valve.
Speed sensor is converted in the dash. The sender in the gearbox sends a signal to the dash, which converts it, and sends it to the ECU. The speed and boost limiter removal mods are done by re-chipping the ECU.
You could expect up to 130-150kW at the wheels with everything standard, with boost changes, front mount intercooler, 3 inch exhaust and T28 turbo. Will also need remap, so you may as well get 440cc GTR or 550cc RX7 injectors and Z32 or RB20 AFM.
Get a $20-50 bleed valve. Raise it to 10-12psi depending on the turbo condition, and octane of your local fuel. IF you find it cutting out, you'll need to invest in a ECU remap chip.
NOS is fine, if you map more fuel in. A wet system is better, but I'd recommend going aftermarket ECU before trying NOS.
