This is on my 3.5 SL, but I'm posting here because of the great crowd... hehe, anyways......

Has anyone else noticed a glare from all lights when you look out the side windows at night? For ex., regular street light in front of me, from the front driver's seat looking ahead it appears normal... ya know, a street light. but if looking through any of the side windows at the light, there is HuuuUGe glare... similar to looking through a kaleidoscope... well you know what I mean....... it's just crazy glare.

Has anyone else noticed this issue? Check it out when driving at night and see if it's the same. At first I was questioning if I just have bad night vision, but I confirmed that looking through the front window from any angle there is no glare whatsoever, it is only when looking through the side windows. Nissan must be using some cheap a$$ glass for those windows or something.............

Any ideas?

thx

i do have some idea of what may be causing this. Have you ever used UV blocking sunglasses? if you have and you look at glass that as lighting being refracted through it, you will notice a kalediscope type of effect. This can also be cause by types of cleaners as well. Some of them will refract light and filter is differently which could be giving you this effect. Its just an idea, but since others say they arent seeing it, it could be something you used on accident, or something your car got sprayed with, or possibly something the dealer put on it when you bought it, although i think that scenario may be a bit far fetched. If you rule everything else out, give the dealer a call, and just ask them if they did any special window treatments.

this is gonna sound stupid....clean the windows... using a good cleaner..i use foam ones like "sprayaway".. and news paper to wipe em down....newspaper will leave no residue.. u sound like u have some oil residue or...if you took it to a car wash...wax spray.... clean em twice..in side and out!... or...have your peripheral vision checked!

I am very partial to this window cleaner. It works great and has no amonia in it which is what causes streaking 99% of the time. I always use a paper towel to dry em off and i try to do it in a coller, non-sun lit area so the stuff doesnt dry immediately.

This is a very reputable site. I have been ordering from this site since middle of, well, like 2003-2004, put in like 8+ orders and has been great everytime. The site is lighting based, all excellent products, much better then radioshack and most ****ty lighting sites. You need to know what you ar elooking for to try and beat out this site. Never the less, that window cleaner is awesome, i can almost garuntee you wont be disappointed with it.
