HI guys any idea of what could be the problem?
my nissan 280 zx 1980 its burning my ignition coil causing not sparks, already put all the ignition system new: distrubutor with a ICM and rotor and cap, also spark wires and coil is new, but still heating to much the ignition coil, if i run the car for 30 minutes coil its going to be burned.

wen car its runing on the positive side of the coil its 12 volts present and in the negative side its 10 to 10.5 volts, tachometer seems like its working fine, also there is two wires close to the ignition coil but nothing its conected there i wondering if this model 1980 still using resistor.

also if i replace the coil for a solid coil, can any of you tell me if that could work?

thanks in advance.

Sounds like you either have a 6 volt coil, bad coil, either way, replace the coil.
