I wanted to know if anybody knows why sometimes my car smells like something was burning. It usually happens when i drive my car really hard, like taking it to redline... I thought it was my clutch that was making that smell but someone informed me it was my belts... does anybody have a clue to what that smell might be??

It could be a number of things...tires or clutch are the only thing in my mind that would burn.

If it were your belts, I think they might be gone by now.

how long have you had the motor in? freshly installed exhausts will smell like they're burning. And everytime I pull something off my exhaust and coat it in anti-seize before i reinstall it, it will smell as the anti-seize gets cooked.

Check underneath the car. Maybe you got a raccoon stuck around the exhaust piping.
