Why did I even doubt 1der got 'em at Wally World??

Just be aware that the AR (Anti-Reflective) coating that WalMart is using on nearly ever pair sold, most don't even know they're paying for it :(. Is a sub-standard coating (shorter life, lesser performance) and will usually sour most peoples opinioin on AR coatings.

1der - If you didn't and want spend the couple bucks to buy good cleaner and cleaning cloth, email me your addy through the user profile and I'll send ya some, gotta take good care of your new glasses.

(I do NOT work for Wally's)

yeah, I can't remember where you work for....

the way I see it, I'll have them broke before said coating wears out though.

I still prefer contacts though, the glasses won't be worn that much. They are right now though because I'm almost out of lenses.

what's your opinion on the Focus Dailies?

If it's actually a "flex" frame they should last you through the weekend :D.

I'm not a fan of contacts, not much for poking myself in the eye, but since you use a stun gun on yourself at times, eye poking shouldn't be an issue :D.

Don't really know much about contacts, work in the "making the glasses" side of things. But I can say, work with a Dr for contacts, even if you do the online thing, see an eye Dr for health and maintenance.

oh I do, I'm in the Dailies now because my stupid *** would sleep in Acuvues all the time...

I could probably go back to the Acuvue, but I really don't wanna, the Focus are really comfortable.

you ever try contacts? if not, you definitely should, it's a hell of a difference.

yeah, they're flex by the way.

Alright Rex, since your our optical master, how the **** to I make my eyes stop hurting? They're stupidly dry (sleep deprivation, it's been happening since November). I've tried some straight up Visine and I took out my contacts a little while ago, but damn these suckers hurt right now, and I'm making dinner, so I can't take a nap at the moment. WHY DO MY EYES HATE ME? I treat them so well, I only look at the finest women for long periods of time...

Airplanes don't bug me? Where did that come from.

I wish I could sleep, but alas it is fiyawerks time here in PTC, where having fireworks on the 4th would be sacrelige (sp?) this year, and thus we're having them on the third.

My right eye is okay now, as usual it is my left that is bugging the **** out of me. I put my contact in and within seconds it's practically glued to my eye cause it's so dry. I've got crazy Visine going, hopefully it'll get me through a couple hours. I get to sleep in tomorrow (no work til 3:30pm), so all I gotta do is survive without screaming til I get home tonight.

Is it true that eye drops give you diarrea? My intestinal problems always seem to coincide with the use of eyedrops (meaning I'm in for it when I wake up tomorrow)...

NTN - glasses me know, contacts ain't my thing :(.

Though I will suggest, if you're having "dry eye" problems, talk to your Optometrist/Opthalmologist, most of them will do follow up/consultations for a very small or no fee. Most of them (the better ones) appreciate someone taking the time/concern about their eye health and reward it with good service.

(of course I say, go get some glasses :D)

Maybe if you aim better or close your mouth when you use the drops you'll quit ingesting the stuff.

yeah, it used to be pretty short actually...

like maybe an inch long back in high school.

chicks dug the blonde highlighted spike:cool:

hey Rex, you heard anything good or bad about Lasik surgery?

it sounds like a good idea to me, but I really haven't researched into the pros and cons of it.

I know I just hate having contacts or glasses, though with contacts my eyes are pretty sharp.

1der - Several people I work with have gotten it and at least a few still wear some sort of glasses (for reading stuff). I think it's a good idea for some, my prescription isn't one that could be easily fixed by Lasik. Also, keep in mind there are all kinds of things out there and even thogh you may go with some cheap tires on your car as a temporary solution, cheap eye surgery isn't a temporary solution.

Do some investigating, ask a Dr or 2 and ask to talk with prior patients (both recent & from 1 - 2 years ago).
