Alright, I've got a Kenwood KAC-5203 head, alpine speakers all around, a Kicker amp, and 2 hifonics 12's..

I have no idea what the problem is, but whenever I try to use the stereo, it will work for about 15 seconds, and then just reset, and keep reseting, and not work till I shut it off for a while, and then it will repeat the process.

I've checked all my head unit wires and they are all connected fine. The power/ground/remote wires are all connected fine. What could my problem be? I can't even listen to my stereo now. :\

EDIT: Some more info on it. I unhooked my amp and subs and it still does the problem, but I noticed it only does the problem at a certain position that the key is turned.

I put key in, turn it one notch and the dash clock lights up a bit, and the stereo turns on. At this point, everything will work fine. When I go one more notch, right before turning engine on, and all the dash lights are red, this is where it just keeps reseting.

Also, when I get around volume 20, the music kind of distorts when the bass hits.

I'm running 4 gauge wires and they are efhin big, hardly and don't even really fit into the amp.

Please any help would be great.

If it works fine in acc but not in run then it sounds like you have a bad ignition switch.

Do the symptoms come up while the car is running?
