Just wondering how good a SOHC N/A 240sx will sound with a 2.5inch pipe with a Flowmaster 40series at the end. I want it to kinda rumble/growl and a little loud :) is that what i'll get with that setup? any feedbacks will be appreciated :) Thanx

yeah, it will probably be real loud, a 50 or 60 series would still be deep but not as loud. If you get it put on in a shop ask them to just clamp on each and rev it up a little to see what it sounds like, im sure they would do this for you if you purchase a whole cat back system. Keep in mind flowmasters tend to get louder after a few months, I have no idea why since its only chambers in there but I have noticed it and several friends have too.

flowmasters are full of these angles and big sheets of metal. instead of the gas going in and going straight out, it has to curve around 10 million things before it gets out.

bad muffler design, bad bad!

edit - from a performance standpoint :) if you want your car to sound good, thats the way to go.
