We have an 87 300z. We changed some vacuum hoses and found the two intake vacuum hoses are dry rotten. I called the dealer, and courtesy Nissan. These two intake hoses are no longer available. We've tried matching up others but they kink really bad. These two hoses are on the intake right before the throttle body. What are my options? What do others use?

Before you do, not totally sure what the cummunity is like, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that someone else had this problem and found a better solution.

Thick wall silicon hoses, they wont collapse under vacum, or heat as easily as some of the other rubber hoses. You can pick them up from a local race shop. They sell cheap silicon hoses in local part shops but they are usually very thin (stay away from them). Before you buy them try squeezing them closed with you fingers, if you can squeeze them shut they probably aren't thick enough or good quality. The hoses should have walls as thick as these. Image

The car has been parked since the last post. It's not a daily driver. I don't know if I can use those hoses shown in the last post because the factory hoses are s shaped. They make some pretty hard turns. The bad thing is there short hoses

I know the hoses you speak of, had a '85 Z31 before my Z32's.
I'd try the correct silicone hoses suggested above, it's pretty rugged and I think MAY just work if you get the size right and can "force" some shape that way.
Silicone hose is very cheap compared to regular hose, so worth the try IMO if you can easily find some...if not try online race suppliers or CZP/Z1.

BTW, not sure but perhaps the air regulator to balance tube hose (on page 1) is the right shape? It's the smaller inner diameter hose, and preformed IIRC...

How about a pic of the hoses in question? I'm guessing you are talking about the IACV?
