someone PLEASE help me im loosing it

alright i fishished my blacktop swap into my s13. out of no where my temp gauge quit working on my way to my buddys house. he has a couple sr's in the garage so i checked the wiring by the ecu and changed the 2 sensors by the throttle body, still nothing. any thoughts on what it could be??

thats the least of my problems though. then the car seemed to be heating up and once it gets to normal running temp it wont turn back on once you shut it off unless you push start it, it just cranks. i figured i had better get it home, he doesn't live to far from me. Me and my girlfriend decided to head home and i could feel it starting to overheat. then it just shut off and left us on the side of the road about a mile and a half from my house. and now it doesnt have the same sound when you try to crank it. so im deciding to let it sit over night to give it more time to cool off. then hope for the best tomorrow. any thoughts i did look on the ground under it and there is no puddles or anything. i hope to god that nothing got screwed up.

my current setup is greddy intercooler rfl blow off, stock rad, and altima fans. somebody please help me

by "a different sound" do you mean exhaust note? if so does it sound more like an sti now? mine did the same thing, overheating randomly not turning on afterwords. I checked my compression after I heard the exhaust change and cylinder 3 was at 65 psi. turned out I had a blown upper ringland. hope this isnt the case. good luck.
