I really would rather swap my transmission out than trade my Z in for a manual Z that is stock. I don't want to start all over on the exterior since i already got a clean kit on my Z and love how my z looks. Anyways this guy is parting out a 6 speed Z and was wondering what else would I need except for the 6 speed transmission, clutch, shift boot/knob?

then you have to ask yourself if you want a 6 speed bad enough, I still gotta say it would eb cheaper to swap cars and a whole lot easier, these things are complicated, more so than the Z32, and it'll hurt your resale value, I know I wouldn't buy a car tha had been swapped, there are too many things for someone to screw up

Work and headache/money - VS. - trade in or sell to get a 6MT....

trade or sell FTW.... have you driven the 6MT? Go drive one and see if its all that much more of what your looking for. Unless its just the driving experience your looking for. I actually like the stick experience, your more alert, and i feel safer when i drive a stick when i am tired because it keeps me awake! (work 3rd shift)

You bought a car off a lot... and you didn't get a MT to begin with?
