doesnt really look like a "real" widebody to me

looks liek 50mm overfenders...

look at the bumper its flush to the front of the quarter panel then it "flares" out

its got diffusers on the bottom corners fo the bumper and the side skirts dont look different to me

IIRC, that kit was a special kit made specifically for that show. only two were made and good luck trying to find the other one..........this same pic came up about a year ago. try searching but good luck trying to find the thread also.

jspec.com where the photo originated from said it's ~12k for it so i dont think you should bother. something like that has probably been tested through wind tunnels.

body kit = junk stuck onto the car.

aero kit = body kit that improves the aerodynamics of the car for cornering, launch, stability... same with the wing too... they go over 3 grand... can't call em junk if it works.

good point, but i dont think any body mods really help you with launch. you arent going fast enough to generate any extra downforce.

yeah unless youre spending a lot of time over 100mph on the track youre just trying to look like you have bigger balls than you do.

I asked this same question a couple months ago, but got a better response than you have.

Funny, the pic I posted looks more orange than red.

Wow, that's a lot of clear coat...That'd be pretty hot, if it wasn't red.

I think it is more like a Gran Turismo "GT LM" treatment.

Except this is is super angular overfenders tacked on to an otherwise smooth looking body. If you took off the wing and told me this car was one of the futuristic cars from back to the future 2. I would ALMOST believe you.

Ok, that other picture is horrible...I change my vote...ugh...That's horrible.I like all the break vents that probably are just pieces of cardboard stuck to the fenders...Weak.

Heh, judging from the size of the FMIC and front rotors, I seriously doubt the car is rice. RHD w/ Japanese plates too... their rice is more obvious and outlandish. Maybe you guys just aren't used to seeing tracked (road course) 240sx's.

too much "pretty stuff" on this car to be a track car. All that aggressive venting on the side (not top) of the front fenders just adds up the drag and makes the air down the side of the car dirty which would make those 20 rear fender vents not very effective. Just too much stuff tacked onto this car + I doubt they'd keep the sunroof in a comp. car. Not a comp wing either.... more like "APC" brand. I do like the wheel set though. I wonder what size/offset those are?

sheesh you guys are harsh, its not that bad..I actually like it.

Its something way different from the "buy all the stock parts from Japan and put them on your car" JDM look and way different from the "drift" look thats cool but been done to death.

If the 180SX was in Super GT (JGTC) it would have a kit similar to that.

The fenders remind me of the widebody flossman kit for the E46 M3

doubtful. i could see A 240/180 in a jgtc event (mr-s is in it, so why not?) but not that one. and i dont think that kit even resembles a replica of what a functional kit would look like.

for one, as it has been said, theres so much **** tacked on it looks like some 9 year old went wild with a lego set.

two, as it has also been stated, the car underneath that crap isnt something that would normally be used for competition purposes. if that car was to be used, ther would be a significant and apparent amount of weight-reduction and visible chassis mods, etc... theres more weight on that **** from the kit than anything else on the car.

and lastly, just because its rhd doesnt make it a "serious" car.

p.s. - it sucks.
