Now dont get me wrong...

racing outside of the track is just stupid... but this guy in a WRX and it was a WRX was reving his engin at me... (and this is the 3rd time this week someone has done this to me) and im like ok i've had enough... so the light turned green and it was like 4 in the morning anyways i figured no one was out... so i said ahh what the heck... so hes reving his engin steering at me so the light turns green and i burned him in 3rd gear... i dont think my car is that powerfull.. i mean it isent even turbo... its just the 3.0L ..... someone? anyone please explane this for me... my ego is geting bigger but i know his car was better!

i just know i shouldent have one... thats the thing... although i feel vengfull! since i had a ford focus rent-a-car when my 240 was totaled... all those people who passed me and flicked me off because my rent-a-car was no good... :] i even the pigeons at burger king pooed on the focus :/

something had to be wrong w/ the WRX - i raced one in my S13 and I won, but either her car was messed up or she was a terrible driver. Now that I think about it, later that night i smoked a NA Z31 on the way home from work :-D

yea...WRX (stock) owns most NA Z, non SR 240s, basically anything w/o a turbo or modified = owned

just turn and stare them straight in the face, then laugh your *** off at them for revving at you. get's them every time. he'll peel off into the distance as you cruise away from the light knowing that he's the one that's going to get the wreckless driving/street racing ticket and not you ;D

btw, Syntax260... what kind of mods do you have done to your Z? all i got is intake... im looking for idears... i havent seen a whole lot of aftermarket parts for my Z... im thinking of geting a used turbo out of a junk yard or something...

wrx's aren't all that. They're pretty good with power and all, but are very heavy. From personal experience, a KA with an intake and exhaust system should be able to take a wrx granted with a good enough a driver. A local buddy of mine with his 93 coupe has those mods and gets challenges from wrx's pretty consistantly and wins very consistantly. The mildly modified wrx's should fall easily to a turbo'ed 240. Reason I know this is because another buddy of mine took on a blue wrx wagon (intake, exhaust, few blitz gauges on the a-pillar, not too sure about much else though) that rolls around my/adjacent districts trying to find people to race and got beat by a sr with 12lbs of boost.

KA w/ intake/exhaust ... doubt it, even a moron with a WRX and an auto will smoke you, all he needs to do is munch on the gas and his AWD will hook up instantly and he's gone while your spinning in 1st.

It is a plausable feat. That blue wrx that I speak of, does have a numbnuts for a driver, but he can launch pretty effectively with minimal wheel spin and get on the go.

As for the KA with basic bolt ons, yes, that too I believe is plausable. The 93 coupe I speak of, well last time I've seen it, had a hotshot header, apexi n1 dual, custom made piping for the intake with an apexi filter, kosei k1 rims, and a kaaz lsd for power bolt ons and drivetrain that I have seen.

While its entirely believable that the 240sx can win, it would be really down to the driver.

Vexajin "Better" is a relative term. To be honest, the WRX does not sound "mean" when its reving. I am not sure why anyone would want to rev on another car since the WRX revs differently than other cars.

When I drive my wife's car (Nissan Altima) I think its a dog all the time after driving my WRX (modified). I guess that going from a higher horsepower (or atleast a with a higher power to weight ratio) that everything else is going to feel like a dog. I am sure Repoman thought his 240 was a dog after going from a modified Turbo Buick to a modified Camaro to his present car.

Vexajin-If you ever want to race a stock WRX with a competant driver let me know, I am sure we can set something up to get you a better gauge on how a closer race would go down. Just because you drive a more powerful car, doesnt mean you can extract all of its potential.

I don't know about you guys, byt buddy of mine has 03 WRX with auto. When I drive it, even with auto it shure feels like a pocket roket to me. And yes I,m shure it will beat myne 95 240. P.S you still can launch WRX with auto. The trany can be manualy shifted. I did.

auto wrx's run like 0-60 in 6.9, stock 240 7.5 (C&D May 1994 i think???) so i mean you can definately beat one, especially if they can't launch
