A front clip is just a regular car (say a S14) thats chopped at about the driver seat. and out of curiosity, why would someone sell a car to get sold like this? most of these that i see have a decent amount of miles on them, but still in the driveable range. And if you rigged a ghetto bucket gas tank could you drive around with half a car if the car was FWD?

lol, everyone loves mad tyte jdm tyteness. But anyways, not that one, but if it was a FWD, had a 5 gallon gas tank in the passenger seat, and some wheels, i dont see why not. look on youtube for dave's farm half car. Its pretty much a front clip that drives.

Okay i don't think sense can be talked into some people. IF IT IS YOUR GOAL TO BUILD A HALF CAR THEN I AM SURE IT IS POSSIBLE. Im not saying its impossible, its just one of the dumbest ideas i have ever heard. It is a lot more complicated than putting a gas tank in the NON EXISTENT PASSENGER SEAT. There are no back wheels. FEW front clips come with driver or passenger seat. It would need new fuel lines and a rear axle and part of a frame for the seats to sit on. It would obviously NEVER be able to be driven on a street legally. It would just be retarded to try. Buy an atv if you want 4 wheels and a seat. It would be cheaper to build a real functional car. What stupid reason would you possibly have for doing this? Goddamn i wish darwin would get to work sometimes.

More like you'll be dragging around with the front half of the car. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to get at, but it'd be cheaper to just go out and buy a car then get one of these front clips and try making it driveable.

I'm pretty sure the OP was making fun of the fact that the clip is half a car that could in theory be driven.

Of course, I started to think of an old SCC joke project about how to make a car quicker by lightening it. Eventually, this poor B14 was stripped down to being a floor board, dash, seat, and motor.
