warm up the engine all the way. turn off the engine. disconnect the tps (throttle position sensor). start up the engine again. point the timing light at the little pin that's pokin out of the front cover. You'll see a bunch of lines show up on the crank pulley. You're lookin for the second to last mark on the crank pulley. You move the timing about by first loosening the two bolts holding the distributor in place. Rotate the distributor to advance or retard the timing. Adjust till you're at 15BTDC, retighten the distributor. Make sure you're still at 15BTDC and then shut down the engine. Plug back in the TPS and go about your merry way.
