I really want to buy them, but:

1) I haven't the $$2) I have nice rims3) I have new tires

I'd just like to see them go to a NICO member's Q. :D

I emailed this guy since I was in Portland last week to ask if I could see the 16 rims he had to find 4 new ones. He told me he had difficulty meeting people because he was active military and was expecting an overnight check.

I emailed him back expressing my disappointment at not being able to view them and asked at which military facility he is located. I am an ex-Air Force brat, so I have a fair to medium recollection of such facilities, most of which are no more. Maybe Jeff Trexler can correct me, but I know of nothing beyond a recruiting office in Portland. There might be a small Coast Guard facility, but that's it.

Anyway, no reply, which is strange for someone who has excess inventory, and does not respond to a cash buyer.

Caveat emptor.

That's not such a great deal. I sold mine, with a good set of 6/32" Bridgestone RE92's for $675.00 ( I probably set the "Buy it Now" too low, because the first bidder bought them). These were the factory wheels off my 2000 I30t Sport. I wanted them for my Q, but had just bought the Konigs, that reside on it today. My next pruchase will be 18" chrome '03 M45 or Q45 wheels for the Q.

Of course this was BEFORE I learned of NICO.

It is if you could get them for under $400 with shipping, especially if they're in great shape.

Keep in mind, the 5-spoke, 17x7.5 alloys were ONLY on the touring model Q, so they're a bit rare.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you, there. I got the same 17" 7.5" wide rims on my 2000 I30t Sport, as the Q touring wheels of that year. They only were available with the "Sport Touring" package, along with many other features. The standard "Touring" package had the 17" 5 spoke wheels, but I do not know if they were 7.5" wide, or not.

The regular I30t 17's were 7".

The "sport" may have been 7.5" as you have, which means they just used Q45t rims (not a bad idea).

I learned that they wer 7.5" rims, when I put the 2002 Q45t rims on the car. I originally thought they were 7" like you. When I took them off, and compared them to the new ones, I realized I already had 7.5" rims on the car. I was kinda hoping the 7.5" wheels would move the tires out a .25", or so, but when I measured them, I was suprised.

The big money maker on eBay, is shipping costs. I shipped a complete set of 4 x 4 rims and tires across the country, for $60.00 on FedEx 3 day ground. When I bought my Q wheels, I paid the guy $175.00 for shipping, from Chicago to Birmingham. I never bid, until I get a shipping quote, now.

Ouch.

I shipped my BBS's to CT for $40.

I keep telling people, http://www.forwardair.com is the ONLY way to ship things like that.
