What is a diffuser kit?

What is the advantage. How much would you expect to pay? Is it just cosmetic or is it an exhaust performance type mod?

Diffusers are used to break up air, usually in front and behind on the lower parts of the car. Mostly for looks on street cars, though in racing applications (higher speeds) they are useful. If good, they usually aren't cheap.

Can you get me a link to one? This isn't for personal reason...it is hard to explain.

The only one I have found is on e-bay and it is around $410. It is carbon-fiber.
