So would you say that it's not worth it? Or do you think with more prep it would be fine?

I used the same stuff to paint my brown interior black on my coupe too. I painted everything except the seats: panels, dash, carpet, headliner, everything. It looked really good for at least a year and held up well for about 2 years. After that it started to bubble up and peel off some of the panels. It gets scratches fairly easy too but the nice thing is that it's easy to touch up if you just keep a can of it around.

After 2.5 years or so I finally went and bought a full black interior (except the headliner, it still looks great).

Painted interior in my S14 couple years back with some vinyl paint using an HVLP spray gun. Prepping does help. According to my paint guy at napa you need to do these things.

1. Wash with soap and water (Dawn works best)
2. Rough up with either white or gray scotch brite... depending upon material type...
2. Wash again
4. Dry with time or air
5. Paint

Will be doing my whole interior in about a week or two... You can follow my build thread in my sig if your interested...
On a side note you can have paint color matched with their spectrograph and get it special mixed for vinyl applications if you have a spray gun. And of course get paint that is specifically for vinyl/interiors. SEM makes good stuff.

so i pulled the head again today because i thought the head/block might have been warped from the PO i found 3 dirty piston heads and 1 clean which i figure means i have a leak somewhere. machine shop picks up the head tomorrow and i'm thinking about porting the intake and exhaust while its off, do you guys think it will add some power? i dont have any pics but when the head comes back i'll throw some up. what should i do to upgrade the head so i can go boost in the future if i feel the desire (which i'm sure i will).

so bad s*** happend today...

0 oil pressure, there is 0 oil running through my engine, i took the cap off the valve cover and the head was completely clean

i started dropping the oil pan just to see if there are any leaks or if the screen fell off/broke and i'm probably going to need a new pump and sender.

backpedaling sucks balls. hopefully replacing the sender wont be a b**** and luckly the pump is an easy replacement

I used Facebook. Just make sure you are looking at a blown up picture. Right click and select copy image address. Then do the rest on here
