You have to keep in mind that this is a small V8 running on pump gas.
I bet with a metal head-gasket, a built bottom-end, these guys could run 14-18 PSI and tip-toe past the 600rwhp range. But, considering that the Lexus auto transmission has less torque capacity than that of the Q, it's easy to understand why 11psi is the best compromise in terms of power, reliability and cost.
1qckser, the engine room is so tight I bet these guys had to settle for a less than optimum location for the turbos. They're probably so low, major oiling issues and ground clearance issues must have been addressed. Would've been less stressful and time-consuming had they not dilly-dally'd with a TT turbo setup and ran a single turbo.
By the way, I tried calling you a couple times about the engine but couldn't get a hold of you but I'll call again tomorrow.
