i own a 93 hatch with a blacktop sr20det stock besides walbro 255, lightweight pulleys, front mount, full 3inch exhaust with a bad Garrett t25...the turbo keeps blowing the gasket that holds the turbo to the exhaust manifold so i decided to get a t3 flange top mount cast iron manifold...my buddy has a t28 from his rb25det series 2...now my question is...has anyone run this turbo on the sr and what were the results...im just trying to get some input on this before i go buy it i dont want to buy it and it not be able to work so any input would be deeply appreciated

get it buttoned up and get a tune. Make sure your injectors can deliver the fuel.

But comprable power at a lower boost pressure?

I wouldn't. I head those turbo's are ceramic or something.

the skyline does indeed use a ceramic turbo (the blades are ceramic) and so cannot reliably run more than 1bar of pressure, if on the other hand it is a steel internaled T28 then that should be fine, SR20DET's came with these as standard and work quite well.
