some suggestions...

so i had posted a while ago that some info should have a sticky because a lot of people come looking here for said info... well it turns out this forum already has a lot of stickies, so it's looking a little crowded...

my suggestion is that you copy what the kat forum is doing... see they made one sticky that has links to a ton of different very informative threads, websites, etc... i think that woiuld definitely clean things up and would be easy to just tack info on to the existing stickies... that way there would be a very good sourceable bunch of info that people wouldn't have to search for and then ultimately just end up asking the same questions over and over.... and even if they did it would be easy to just direct them to the stickies...

anyhow this forum just doesn't get much attention. it's too bad cause i know there are some great people here...

I think that is a good point. I have finals week this week and I wont be around much... but come this weekend, I'll put something slick together.

That sounds like a good idea, but I would suggest only combining like threads.

Like say put this one Post Your Setup with this one crazy car audio finds...

Possibly this one Bose Audio Thread with this one Nissan/Infiniti Speaker Sizes.

I think the idea was to create one sticky with all the common threads in it, like

Maybe even section it, by either S13, S14, Q, Max, etc. Or by Factory- HU, speakers, amps, de-install, etc & Aftermarket- HU, speakers, amps, install, etc.

If we get too specific it will defeat the purpose of the (music)..... DUN DUN DUN>>>>>> SEARCH BUTTON!!! I am still going to have the speaker sizes a sticky, but high volume and high interest threads will be listed in a thread and stickied.

yeah i had more of what rex is talking about in mind... just more like a list of commonly asked questions and things like that... we have some great threads and some people will never see them even if they use the search button because key words aren't mentioned or whatever... anyhow i just spend a lot of time reading over things in the other forums.... suspension/wheels/etc has a massive collection of great information that i haven't even read all the way through yet... it just keeps getting better. i know there are great things here too and it would be nice to see them in an easier to find fasion... they are more of a moderators top picks i guess... whenever there is good info that most people should read they can just post a link on this one sticky that tells what it's about or whatever, just like rex was saying. you can make it so only the mods can post on there so there isn't a bunch of worthless threads being posted and threads wont be posted over and over again.

anyhow thanks for considering it....

i'm sure there will be plenty of things on there that i haven't seen yet, so it's not just good for the newbies but all the people who have been around here that maybe missed a few things.well gotta go study and work on programming stuff. thanks again.
