...was getting into his Maxima 3.5SE today as I was pulling into a space at the mall. He watched the car as I pulled in and as O rolled up the windows/sunroof (it's beautiful today!). When I got out of the car he was all melancholy and said, "I have a question. Do you want a car cover for your G? I'm not charging for it or anything but I had a G35 Coupe once but it got totalled." He reached into his trunk (carrying around the last remaining piece of his G) and handed me the cover.

The look on his face was so sad as he handed it over. I asked him if he replaced the G and he said "Yeah...with that" and pointed at the Maxima.

+1 for generous, ex-G35 owners!

I had a Max 3.5 SE. It isn't a G but it is a really nice car. It got better mileage, had more room and had enough power. If it had been RWD I would probably have gotten another one. FWD just isn't fun when you accelerate.

Yup...in fact, he had two kids in the back of the Maxima!

I felt like giving the guy a hug and letting him drive my G or something...

WHY would anyone want a heated steering wheel?? I'd love a air conditioned steering wheel. Most of the time in AZ you park with your wheels turned? Why so the part of the steering wheel you touch isn't the temperature of molten lava when you try to drive your car.

Because unlike where you are ... it can hit -40 here in the winter time... it was my one of the best options for a car ever... however, I drove my Mom's 07 M35x and the air conditioned seats are a god send in days like today. No sweaty backs

Yeah... Maxima's are pretty tight... and fast too...

I think the G would have been better with the addition of the heated steering wheel, and also the AC seats would be nice...

I can't complain though... I tested a Maxima two days before I bought this, and I was thouroghly impressed with the acceleration and response. It was the 6MT and it was a fun ride... The reason I chose the G, was, well....

Because it had to be a G...
