Spent the weekend getting away from the city and into the nearest mtns / forest.... nobody looking over your shoulder !! loaded up with food, firewood, 4 people + gear, and two bikes...... the QXslow was slower than its ever been. Once we got to the steep uphill stuff, i was doing about 20 mph in a 50 zone!!

my bike

playing around a ski lift

snow still around in many areas

beautiful lupine flowers near our camp i stayed in the valley at the bottom of this mtn

the flex is very limited by the tires... i flexed it out so hard at one point that the fender flare broke off (no pics)

overall it was a great weekend with lots of downhill biking, lots of wild animals around, and lots of tire rubbing!!!

my buddy got a good video of the QX4 playing in the snow, 4LO but i cant figure out how to steal it off his facebook.

Beautiful Pics! Especially like the 2nd pic, those tires/wheels look huge! How bad is the flare? More pics?

Hey do you guys have the "spot" in the pre 01's inside the passenger side vent panel in the trunk? It has served it's purpose very well and a little electrical tape on the latches secures it a little better too.

I wouldn't use it for anything illegal, as on a few occasions, i've had cops open it up (during a search) and look in there.

Is there a retrofit for adding a disc changer back there? Pre-Wired?

Fueler, I spent some time searching but didnt come across the info on your setup. Can you provide info on your wheel/tire combo? I know they are BFG M/T, 285/75/16?? What size/brand wheels. They really stuff the wheelwells and look great.

HA, are you guys talking about the panel that comes off in the very rear passenger side with the little cubby hole, and hiding stuff down there? WHat I do is keep s*** UNDER that, pull the pocket out, and your down to the chassis/frame

I had my car "level 3" searched at a police station, and they didnt find s***

Nice rig though
