Picking up from my other thread, heres a small list i could come up with along with help from lars and kyooXX.

http://www.pradoautosales.com/....html

http://www.cars.com/go/search/...f=aol

http://www.yourcarlot.com/detail.php?id=71486

http://www.cdmdata.com/cdmdigi....aspx

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/....html

http://bham.craigslist.org/cto/1406121697.html

---------------------------------Here is a patfinder too.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...false

PLease let me know if any of them seem good. Would really appreciate it if I could get some help with more links. ALso, was wondering, why is it that the qx4 is always rated among the best in reliability and dependibility but not the pathfinder?

Thanks for the help.

Based upon what I've seen, I would go with Door 1

or

Door 2

Though I would probably choose door 1, because it has a navigation system. That, and the mileage for door 2 is not shown. But I can't say for sure, because I don't know the vehicle history etc.

How about this one? This is the very first link and within 4 miles from where i am right now.

I was thinking about the one with the navigation system too. Basically, the first two links. BUt wonder why the one with the navigation sys is priced low (relatively). Its also very far from here and I am trying to think how could go all the way and where do I get it checked (by a mechanic).I really like the one with the navi and the burgundy one near to here but I have till the first week of next month to make a buy and am wondering if I should be patient.

That burgundy one is pretty. But it doesn't have 4wd, so that's why I personally ruled it out. I'm not sure if 4wd is important you. But I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.It just kinda adds up, for me. 1k more, more miles, no navi, no 4wd.But I understand your predicament.

I would take the second qx4 with navi only if its under 100miles on it.

Hmm... its got 110k miles on it. BUt I think thats ok? As long as the 105k maintenance was done. Even then, if its in good shape, I am thinking I could get it an do the maintenance myself the first thing? Wow! I did not even notice the 4wd part. It sure adds up when it comes to the navi, 4wd and little more miles. The price I am sure would drop to 7500 and I would spend arund 500 to go up north to fwbmotors to test and buy the car so the price would come out the same. I'll call the guy and see if I can get some more pics first of the car and also a carfax report before I decide to over there.

Was wondering why its priced low. And another thing that came up in m mind was the RUST. I used to be in upstate NY and I know, have seen and experianced rust. But forgot thinking about it since I moved down south. Now, I understand that FL cars (esp the coastal cars) carry rust due to salt (in air!) and humidity and its just as bad as northeast? Is that correct?

Rust usually isn't a problem here in Florida unless the vehicle is taken on the beach a lot and not washed off. And unless the vehicle resides within a few blocks of the beach, you really don't have to worry about salt in the air.Even then, it's nowhere near the kind of rust you get up north. I've only ever spotted like three incidents of rust on my Q, and none of them are larger than a pea.

But yeah, I don't know why that one Q is priced so low. You should research it.

HI. Thanks for the info. So the rust issue is ruled out. And thanks for all the help so far to everybody. Its so much easier to make a buying decision with the help from the members here especially to ppl like me who are new. I am particularly new to SUVs.

I am gonna keep looking for another 2 weeks as I dont think I have found 'the one' yet.

I am looking for;1) an 01 Q2) with <110k miles. Maybe 115k3) with <$80004) in AL, FL, or GA5) preferably from a dealer. Or a private party with all the records available.

Just in case anybody comes across something, or has something like the above for sale, would really appreciate it if they would let me know here. Hopefully, I'll my qx4 by the end of this month.

Thanks.

Since your pre-approved already, it basically means you have cash in hand. with that said, you have alot of buying and negotiation power when at a dealership.

When I found my Pathy, I already had the money deposited into my bank account from my lender. I called the dealership where it was, I think they were asking $16K at the time. I told them I lived 100+ miles away or something and have cash. I then told them I don't want to drive that far and not come home without the truck. I offered 14,300 before I even saw it, and the dealer said if I come up with that much in hand, he'd let me walk away with it. so I got there, we took it for a spin, I gave it a real good look down inside and out. when I made my decision, I handed him my debit card and told him to wrap it up. He was caught off guard for sure. the whole deal ended up taking about 1hr to complete. when it was all done, the sales manager walked up to me and said "this is the fastest I've ever seen a car leave this lot, fully paid for and everything". I told him, "its just like buying anything else" I defainatly felt like a baller that day.

point being, talk to them before you go there and state your intentions with them. In todays market, you have the advantage. Use it where you can, and car dealers are the best place to bargin. Also get a Carfax. If its a reputable dealer, they will buy it for you. look it over, heck if you can get them to fax it to you, post it on here. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one who would look it over for you and point out any suspicious remarks on the report.

hi sicwitit, thanks for the info. I will try something along those lines with far off dealers. Although I dont have cash, I suppose, a check in hands still pretty good.

ALso, I found some more options here...please try to have a look at them...

" TARGET="_blank">http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...lse

This one is interesting. I ran the carfax and its clean. Wonder whats up with it. " TARGET="_blank">http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...lse

This one seems nice..

" TARGET="_blank">http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...lse

I ran the carfax on the one with the navi. Its clean, as in no accidents, buts a complete northern (Minnesota) car. 9 years in that snow would have, im sure taken its toll enough on that car.

Still having a hard time in finding something good for 7k-8k. Im spending around 2-3 hrs per day atleast online trying to find something. Maybe I dont know how to search? Any help anybody?

Im thinking of widening my options now to also include a 4runner and a montero sport as I know they will run forever w/o any problems too which is my biggest priority. Am finding the bmw 325i nice as well but dunno about its durablility/reliability.
