Ok mostly basic questions. I just picked up a 02 Max SE 6 speed. It's friggin decked out with everything including the Bose and factory Navigation. Here's my first problem where do I find a stereo adaptor kit to replace my tape player head unit? With this setup it's in the climate control area of the normal max. No I don't like the bose setup but for that matter I don't like any stock setup no matter how good it was. I've got my MB Quarts that need installed with my JL W6 12".

Next the suspension I don't want to lower it or no lower that .75-1" if I had to I don't see any springs that only go this little bit. What else can I do to eliminate the body roll. I was thinking just the shocks, front strut tower bar and rear sway bar. I've heard negative things at maxima.org about the rear sway bar about snap oversteer and a little worried to risk that. What's the recomendation.

Intake I've seen dyno runs on different forums and seems that the best is a filter adaptor for the MAF and a hard pipe to replace the flex hose. CAI might do better with full exhaust and an air fuel computer but I'm not worried about all that. My question is how loud is it. Honestly I bought this car because I wanted quiet power I got tired of riced out imports like my civics and celicas that were to loud and under powered. I was considering just a drop in K&N but figured that maybe the warm air intake setup might not be too loud.

Thanks,Bruce

Welcome to NICO!

It's refreshing to see someone who has put forth effort into investigating available mods.

If you're only looking to lower your car by that small of a margin, I would simply up the size of your rims (if that option is available). If changing the rim size is not an option, I would look for coil overs, and perhaps roll the fenders (if needed).

Whatever intake you choose, it will not have any significant roll in increased horse power. Making the exhaust more "free flowing" will have a far more significant result. As for the sound, a WAI/CAI tend to only make increased noise at WOT.

You can get an exhaust tailored to fit your requirements. My Greddy SP2 exhaust sounds great! With the built in resonator, it has a nice deep tone between 1500rpm - 2500rpm. Above that range, the exhaust note is hardly audible. But at WOT, the exhaust roars to life and lets the "slow people" to get out of the way. I feel the cat back exhaust benefited the most between 3000rpm and red line. Before, it seemed my acceleration in that range was flat. Now, the acceleration to red line is far more noticeable.
