As some of you may remember I had some trouble with my car running far too lean when I installed the Fujita intake and my car losing 10 rwhp with it on.

I've been thinking about trying again with the Stillen airbox/custom intake tube and with a 5/16 spacer. Due to the slightly increased space within the manifold will that decrease the chances of my car running lean?

I'm really not sure what to do, I just don't want the spacer to create more problems.

I have the spacer and motordyne 5/16 spacer and haven't had any issues.

Yeah, let us know how that goes. I've cut the F5 pipe in half and using it from the maf so either way im going to need to buy a new one (stillen etc) if i decide to try again.

The fujita tube would essentially be the same as the z-tube, correct me if I'm wrong, I think it's just the tube off a Z?!? The only difference between the intake on the G and the Z are the excessive folds and bends in the G's intake... I dunno...

Is the Stillen a "cold air intake:"? does it run on the stock intake piping? or is all the piping included?

thanks

Essentially; here's some pics. It was basically a stop-gap kinda thing. I had the intake, couldnt return it, wanted to at least get SOME kinda use out of it. Works quite well, sounds essentially the same but looks alot better.

The Stillen is just a slightly larger airbox which includes a better non paper filter. You can use the existing piping with it or get the z tube which is from a Z (hence, the name).

thanks for the pics... did you mention you actually saw some whp gains with the setup shown above??? I know you lost 10whp initially, but is this setup better than stock??

Thanks...

I'm planning to dyno mine, and I'm also going to look at cold air setups as well... Thanks a million! your car is sick btw..

No, havent' dyno'd with this new setup but I'm assuming it should be exactly the same, if just alittle better. its a less restrictive pipe without the catchment.

Next service I'll get it dyno'd again just to check, but by then (another 4 months or so) I'll probably just try the other intake.
