SOme question about the repair in dealers

1. If the car is out of basic warranty will the dealer charge me about inspection? I mean for example, if I get some problem and send the car to dealer they will first inspect what the problem and tell me it is cover but power tran warranty of it is going to charge me and let me make decsision. So will the inspection cost me?

2. I bring some problem to the dealer before the warranty is expired and they kind of solve it(or tell me part on back order). Later(warranty expired) I bring the car to the dealer again bacause the same problem will they repair it for me free?

I am 1st time having a car out of warranty so any information is appreciated.
