This one not bad at all, but its my pet peave when people call straight sixes V6 and people who think 4 bangers are 6 or 8 cylinder. The other day one of my 'acquaintances' thought a FG Civic SI was V8.

I use to totaly have a RB26tt in my 240 but i liked the sound and vroom of the KA so i swaped back to it.

Also if i hit 88 mph in a straight line my 240 can travel through time.

For reals no lies.

so im curious, but when ever you guys get approached by one of those posers who knows **** about cars but lies through his teeth and acts like hes a BAMF with cars, pretty much everyone talked about in this post, do you guys correct em or just play along? what do you guys do?

i usually just play along just to hear how much they think they know.

I play along, only until i feel it is time for a friendly debate.

It is even better if we are in an area where internet is accessible, So i can coax them over to the computer then rub it in their face that they are wrong. Not in a mean way though, i kinda just prove them wrong and then stay quiet. I find that method hurts them a little bit more hahaha.

Note: Never do this to your wife/girlfriend, women do not take kindly to this and the second you prove them wrong you lose no matter what... Just a little advice from me to you. Don't have to take my word for it though, try it. ^^

I usually correct them on the spot and if they try to argue I just change the subject or tell them to shut up. It's one thing when someone is uninformed and you correct them and they accept it, but when someone try's to act like they know what they're talking about and don't listen to you when you try to correct them politely then they can eat my balls.

Most of the time I'm so dumbfounded by what I'm hearing that I'm not sure how I should react. I want to slap them across the face, but at the same time, I feel sorry for their pathetic being.

I always play along, then laugh about it when they leave. I get approached by people all the time, most of them know what they are talking about. There are the occasional people that don't.
