just got done with a long process of overhauling my rb25, i did a cometic head gasket, arp head studs, timing belt, along with replacing all those problematic exhaust manifold studs, had head cleaned, polished and a 3 angle valve job

while i had the engine out i figured id give the engine bay some love, here is a picture of the bay before

as you can see the bay looks worn out and sloppy so i took the time to mold out all the lines and unused holes, then went on to relocating the fuse boxes (uhhgggg!!!) primed and painted the bay, huge improvement...

and finally the finished and rerunning resault...

i had a crazy problem when i got everything together, i ran like poopy. i had a cylinder 1 misfire, had spark/fuel and 0 compression
so as i got more into the problem (assuming i bent a valve) i did a cylinder leak down test and i had some weird results.
with cams in it would pour air out the exhaust, with no cams it was perfectly sealed (removing my theory of a bent valve.
so after a week away from my car and thinking about it i realized it would have to be at fault of the lifters.
so i looked into how to clean/bleed the lifters and did so, sanding out the wear patters. put everything back together and youd have to look at the tach to see the cars running its smoother then ever, and even on the stock turbo the response is up with the valvejob and polish.
thanks for reading, let me know what u think
let me know if u want any more pics
