pet peeve
n. Informal
Something about which one frequently complains; a particular personal vexation.

So that being said and pertaining to your own personal vehicle, what are some of your pet peeves resulting from others lack of consideration or regard? Here's a few of mine (in no particular order):

(1) People leaning/sitting on the exterior of my car.
(2) Closing the door by palming the glass.
(3) Putting feet on my dash.
(4) Slamming the door like it's a 2 ton bank vault!
(5) Leaving trash or drink cups behind.
(6) Playing with the radio and/or ventilation controls.
(7) Putting the window down without asking.

... and don't EVEN ask to smoke in my car! :tisk:

Slob Smokers who flick their butts everywhere. A local supermarket burned down because some loser flicked their butt into a mulch pile.

Dog owners who don't scoop their dog's poop.

People that curse in front of children.

Loud Eaters. And by extension gum chewers.
Close your f*** mouth. It isn't that hard, I think we grew out of that phase several tens of thousands of years ago.

Out of curiosity, what method do you recommend to get the snow off? Or do you use the thick rubber winter floormats? I drive a beater in winter, so kicking the rockers is all good for me.

My newest pet peeve is when people misspell the word "possible" as "possiable" (I'm assuming this means "able to form a posse")

How the hell else are you supposed to get the snow off...banging it against the door panel? Banging them together doesn't get all the snow off. Not like you're going to dent or damage the rocker by doing so (Unless you have aluminum or leather inserts near there)

Totally agree with using feet to open the door though.

To get the snow off my shoes/boots before fully entering a vehicle I usually sit in the seat sideways and clap my shoes/boots together until a majority of the snow is off.

1. Don't touch my damn radio
2. Don't invite yourself into my car. I have a 2 seater, and most times I'll be heading somewhere to pick someone else up.

^Those two and...

People who are like "We should hang out!" or "Keep in touch!"... then they go ahead and never talk to you again.

People who are complete tools.

When I get stuck walking behind some person who is walking really....REALLY slow.

Pretty much any person who brags about how trashed they got this past weekend and by mid-week, they start freaking out on how awesome this coming weekend is going to be.
(gets annoying hearing that nearly every week :squint: )

People who say "turn here" right when I'm passing it, or can't make it safely.

People who lean on your car after you tell them you've just done something nice to the paint, like waxing/washing/detailing it.

People who park super close to the line.

Parallel parking. Yes I am terrible at it.

People who touch my radio without asking.

People who write things on the windows when it fogs up. Don't do that. :slap:

All good points. I'll add people who drive with their high beams on all the FN time. If you're that afraid of the FN dark, stay home, stay in your room. In your bed with the closet light on. Oh, that and STOP messing up the adjustment of my seat!

Oh man, I forgot to add those to my list too!

One more, because I remembered the high beams.

I can't stand people who have HIDs on SUVs and trucks.

People actually respect my car pretty well, because they know how I treat it.

But I hate it when someone thinks that their diagnosis of problems they think they might hear is actually useful information for me.
