Okay, so tonight while i was on my way home, I saw what i didn't think i could running around my town (besides someones white coupe, not sure who's) It was another hatchback! I thought I'd seen him before but wasn't sure. So being a 240 enthusiast, i honked and waved. I guess he didn't hear me, so I pulled onto the highway since I had to, to get home. I passed and waved, pretty obnoxiously actually , and he completely ignored me. I really wish that 240 owners would all recognize, that to know what these cars are capable of takes some knowledge and a little research. And that every 240 owner be respected.

Just my little story for the night.

You're young, so you don't know, but 240 owners are too cool for school. Too cool for other 240 owners, too.

I was on my way home from work, and im stopped at a red light, and out of the corner of my eye I see a white hatch pull up next to me. The guy rolled down his window, I wanted to ask him questions about his car, but all he wanted to do was race

U have to know that everyone that drives a 240sx isnt an enthusiast. Just like everyone that drives a honda civic doesnt give two shats about vtec.

Did you ever think he didn't WANT to be driving a 240? Ever think he only drives it because he HAS to? Not everyone that owns a 240sx likes them.

They could find it as desirable as a Ford Fiesta. If you had a Ford Fiesta, would you want to interact with other Fiesta "enthusiasts?"

EXACTLY. It's ok to be friendly and interact. But don't get butthurt if they don't look at you/acknowledge you.

^ yeah good to see someone else thinks that way. I actually went to a nissan meet last summer and for the most part it was pretty cool but a large majority of those kids i would have been very happy having never met......

when you honk, they think your counting down to 3 for a race...just wave high and if they don't wave back then you no he is not an enthusiasts...NEVER HONK unless you know that person... he might be a crack down racer police guy and think your trying to race him.you can get arrested and get your car crush or tow....ahhaha i wave high to miata, any datsun, 240sx, e30 owner when ever i see them on the road....i rev to corvette, camero, civic, integra, tc, gti, mustang, ects that look like a 10 sec car, at the red light and watch them take the pedal to the metal while i drive slowly...fun s***...ahhahaaa

I know I'm young, but it would have been appreciated to at least have looked over and realized haha, oh well, I guess it's true that no all 240 owners want to be driving it like AZ89 said.

Seeing another 240 around here is kind of a rare site, so sometimes I get a little over whelmed to see one. Honestly I don't really mean to be over reactive, it just happens haha.

I'm tempted to say hi to other 240 drivers too, but I know not everyone is a 240 enthusiast. Especially if their car is stock. If they're a 240 enthusiast, they'll probably wave first anyways.

but what if they're thinking the same way that you are and no one ever waves to each other? you could be losing out on meetnig your new 240 bff

i don't wave to anyone, nor do i acknowledge anyone in a 240. if it's clean i'll look at it, but that's about it. i had some kids get all excited when they saw me getting into my zenki.

"is that the one that came stock with the sr20?" "no." "aww, that sucks. my buddy has one that came stock turbo." "no he doesn't"" "

I had some fanboi tell me that my car was alright. He preferred the non-limited editions because they had pop up lights.

Guess I feel lucky then. In my home town we all do the 240 wave. Even when I go out of town, I always give, and recieve the wave.

I wave to other runners when I am running, but I don't wave to bikers. Runners are exclusive like that.

I keep it simple and throw up the deuces when I saw another 240 driver who is looking at my car. But I'm curious what's gonna happen when i drive to Illinois, as I leave Sac if I'm gonna be allowed to wave and such!?!?

I'm sure other 240 drivers can tell that I like modifying my car just by looking at it. I can tell if someone enjoys doing the same thing to their car too. I've had cleanly done up 240 guys wave at me, riced out 240 guys wave at me, and even beaten up looks like crap 240 guys wave at me. Most of the time, it's not hard to tell, who's a 240 enthusiast.

Remember OP, just cause you drive a 240 doesn't make other 240 drivers your friend. That's how ppl get jacked around here, man...

The only other 240's iv seen are f***ed up mostly and I dont wave but we see each other look at each other so thats enough. i see one like once every 3 weeks.

I have alot of random guys at gas stations ask me if i did the RB26 swap.

I remember being a fan boi tho. I bought my 240 in the dark. at 12:00 am. 45 minutes after it was posted on craigslist. 1st 240 i ever seen up close in real life. paid asking price...had sex with it. etc.

Still have the urge to say LOOK A 240! and point every time i see one tho. I hold it in.

Yeah. I wonder if people that drive Focuses (sp?) wave to each other or for that matter, Xterra owners. I hate is when people b*tch about other people not waving...they remind me of those desperate people whose friend request you ignore on facebook or myspace and then they come back and whine about why you rejected them. Not saying the OP is this way but if someone waves i will wave back otherwise im not waving. The nod always works better anyway.

Sim, you really do make a lot of sense. If i see another one, I'll probably keep it to a nonchalant wave. It's nice to see other ones around here though. There's one I found along some houses and it never seems to move, it has a pretty bad body kit, and I'm not sure if the roll cage and gauges are for show or if it's actually in use, because of the body kit, I really can't tell.

Thats funny, I was just thinking about this on the drive home tonight as I passed another 240 and exchanged waves/nodds. Its nice to have a bit of "brotherhood" to other 240 owners, you can kinda tell the ones that are into them by the "look". Hell if Harley owners do it whats a matter with us showing a little acknowledgement.
